Soft, entertaining read. It's a different topic for the ones I am used to read and as a dog person it helped me to understand cat people a bit better.
Im Mittelpunkt dieser Geschichte steht ein japanisches Ehepaar, denen eine Katze zuläuft. Die Katze beeinflusst ihr Leben stark, wird aber nicht fester Teil ihres Haushaltes, denn sie scheint bei verschiedenen Personen verschiedene Leben zu führen. Es handelt sich hier nicht um eine klassische Geschichte sondern eine Beschreibung. Beschreibung des Lebens, der Veränderung, von Gefühlen, von Lebensumständen. Es ist gut zu lesen, aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass in der Übersetzung irgendeine tiefe originale Poesie verloren geht und eine etwas lose Geschichte übrig bleibt.
